Unlock Your Child’s Superpowers!
Within each child lies a special soul that yearns to be expressed. It holds the innate characteristics that make a child unique and significant. Unfortunately, too often children’s soulful expressions are suppressed by life adversities, bullying, or significant figures in a child’s life who mean well but unknowingly invalidate the child’s internal gifts. Soulful Psychology® can help children and adolescents access the profound soul within them that serves as a superpower to change the world for the better. Children are superheroes, child and adolescent therapy can be the catalyst to unlocking your child’s superpowers.

A Soulful Approach to Empowering Kids
Gain Benefits from Talk, Art, and Play Therapy
Our specialty is helping kids learn about the deeper emotions underneath their adversities. We believe that children and adolescents are significant and have profound gifts within that desire to be expressed. Our therapeutic aim is to help illuminate and excavate kid’s gifts that sometimes get buried from life’s difficulties. We use specialized therapeutic methods that include:
- Talk therapy to process and discuss everyday challenges or more difficult life adversities.
- Play therapy to analyze feelings that are unable to be fully expressed with words.
- Sand Tray therapy to represent and resolve unprocessed conflicts.
- Art therapy to access emotions through creative expression that also provides cathartic healing.

Find Greatness Within Children
Donald Winnicott, a psychoanalyst and pediatrician, best summarized a child’s psychological and emotional experience when stating, “It is a joy to be hidden, and a disaster not to be found.” Children and adolescents often struggle when their emotions are encroached upon or when they feel unseen. Soulful Psychology®’s revolutionary approach works with youth to process and heal difficult emotions by teaching tools for accessing their authentic soul within that might be hidden and to develop connections with self and others that want to be found. We use various talk and play therapy methods to treat a plethora of mental health challenges.

Therapy For Teens
Teenagers experience unique challenges in their developmental stage of life. They face a variety of new and overwhelming emotions and experiences that can be difficult to navigate. Teenagers contend with issues of bullying, peer pressure, academic pressure, social discomfort, social media influences, body image insecurity, challenges fitting in, family conflicts, and friendship dilemmas. It can cause teens to feel anxious, depressed, stressed and may lead to risky behaviors. We work with teens to address their specific challenges and needs by helping them process their feelings and develop a confident and secure sense of self that empowers them to thrive in school and life.
Heal Depression and Anxiety
Many kids we work with experience feelings of depression or anxiety that lead to apathy, ruminating thoughts, indecisiveness, procrastination, anger, panic, stress, obsessive compulsive tendencies, and social isolation. Depression can often be disguised by anger and anxiety is often rooted in fear. Our supportive and caring approach helps kids process their emotions and develop tools to overcome challenges so they can feel capable and confident.

Gain Mastery of Your ADHD
Kids can sometimes struggle with symptoms of Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder such as daydreaming, forgetting or losing things, excessive talking, squirming in their seat and hard to sit still, make many mistakes or oversights, struggle resisting temptation, have difficulty taking turns, and sometimes speak without thinking. People often forget that these behaviors are not the kid’s fault as ADHD is a neurodevelopment disorder. Kids don’t choose to act in these ways, they just need compassion, support, and tools. We provide a holistic wrap-around approach that works with the child while incorporating resources from psychiatrists, pediatricians, parents/caregivers, and their school, so that children can receive the support they need to master their ADHD symptoms and thrive.
Seeing Soul within the Autism Spectrum
We notice how often people with an autism spectrum disorder face judgment and negative stereotypes about their capabilities and strengths. Such individuals are overlooked and dismissed in society, treated as less than, and ignored. Beyond dealing with behavioral and social challenges, their emotional pain tends to be overlooked. We help children with an autism spectrum disorder recognize their soul underneath their symptoms. We work in a collaborative, wrap-around approach that works with the child, while incorporating support from parents/caregivers, behavioral and occupational specialists, psychiatrists, pediatricians, and schools. We provide behavioral strategies to help the child utilize tools in life while also helping them and others to see the profound gifts they possess, so they can ultimately live confidently, benefit the world, and thrive.

SOULFUL PARENTING ℠

About Soulful Parenting℠
A core tenet of Soulful Psychology® is that children are born pure of soul. Children have innate characteristics that are expressions from their soul. However, societal influences such as media, overly critical teachers, peer bullying, aggressive or dismissive parenting, can cause the innate characteristics within a child’s soul to become repressed and unexpressed. As a result, a child might express their dismay through anger outbursts, misbehaviors at home or school, or depressive/detached or anxious moods. Our main purpose as parents/caregivers is to facilitate the emergence of our children’s soulful expressions through nurturing their innate characteristics.
The Soulful Parenting℠ Approach
Soulful Parenting℠ teaches parents/caregivers tools to foster their children’s soulful development through:
- Recognizing, validating, and structuring a child’s innate soulful characteristics.
- Teaching parents/caregivers how to develop their own soulful connection within themselves, so they can recognize and become in control of their own emotions instead of taking them out on their children.
- Educating parents/caregivers about how to raise soulful children who can recognize and articulate their emotions rather than acting out on them.
- Discovering how to foster their child’s soulful expressions, which enable children to have stronger connections with self and others.
