We are excited about your interest in joining the Soulful Psychology® Training Institute, a pre-license internship program where you will learn the revolutionary therapeutic methods of Soulful Psychology®.

The Soulful Psychology® Training Institute provides internships to graduates who have received their Master’s degree or Doctorate degree and are interested in earning their clinical hours towards licensure while advancing their education and skillsets. Interns will receive supervision from expert clinicians who practice from a Soulful Psychology® approach, will get paid for providing therapy to patients (could earn upwards of six-figures for a full-time caseload through a fee-split financial structure), gain experience working at a private practice, and are welcomed alongside staff members of the Soulful Psychology® group practice team.

The Soulful Psychology® Training Institute is ran out of the Woodland Hills, California main office, which requires hired interns to provide in-person therapy as well as receive supervision from the Woodland Hills, California main office. In addition to working in the Woodland Hills, California main office, hired interns will also be able to provide teletherapy from home.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain a caseload of up to 40 clinical hours per week (intern and Soulful Psychology® staff will work together to build intern’s caseload over time, which enables intern to work part-time until caseload has grown to full-time).
  • Soulful Psychology® provides marketing and promotions to help assist associate with referrals.
  • Participate in weekly individual and group supervision with clinical supervisors.
  • Complete and maintain clinical documentation on time.
  • Promote a culture of compassion, teamwork, authenticity, integrity, cultural competence, community, and human connection.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctoral degree in clinical, counseling, or educational psychology, or Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy, or social work, (or nearing graduation of graduate program).
  • Willingness to sign contract that agrees to a two-year commitment to stay with Soulful Psychology®.
  • Acceptance of working part-time in the beginning but building up to full-time upon receiving more patients.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting.
  • Associate’s previous training can be from any theoretical orientation (i.e., CBT, ACT, DBT, Psychodynamic, etc.), as long as they are willing to be trained to practice from a Soulful Psychology® orientation, including other Depth Psychology approaches (i.e., Relational Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Jungian Psychotherapy).
  • Ability to be self-directed and work collaboratively with a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Emotional intelligence, regard and care for patients, passion for learning, and ability to receive and provide constructive feedback.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and staff.
  • Strong professional ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with current research and best practices in the field.
