About Soulful Psychology®
Soulful Psychology® is a group psychotherapy private practice specializing in Soulful Psychology®, a theoretical orientation situated within the Depth Psychology tradition, which maintains that psychological wellbeing derives from soulful connection with self and others. We provide individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy for adults, children, and adolescents, as well as performance therapy for business executives, entrepreneurs, entertainers, athletes, and public speakers. Our mission is to improve mental health through providing psychological insight and interventions that develop soulful connection with self and others. Our values include developing a caring and committed therapeutic relationship with our patients to foster the containment and support necessary for internal exploration and meaning-making of symptoms that can facilitate wholeness, growth, and transformation.

About the Soulful Psychology® Group Practice
The Soulful Psychology® group psychotherapy private practice consists of a close knit community of mental health professionals who value helping patients heal and transform through insight-oriented, attachment-based methodologies. Clinicians within the group practice are trained in the Soulful Psychology® orientation, as well as Depth Psychology traditions with special emphasis in Relational Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Jungian Psychotherapy, and Attachment Theory. Clinicians are welcome to incorporate their psychotherapeutic modalities with the Soulful Psychology® approach, which conceptualizes symptoms as communication of the soul’s longing for awareness, healing, and connection. Clinicians will learn about Depth Psychology concepts such as understanding “soul” as a metaphor for the hidden, unconscious aspects of the psyche, distinct from the conscious ego, which influences a person’s deepest feelings, destiny, and unique identity, often explored through imagination, dreams, and symbolism, which are meant to be integrated for healing and transformation. Clinicians within the group practice have ample opportunities to consult on cases with fellow colleagues, attend trainings on Soulful Psychology® methods, and experience a cohesive team environment.

Position Description
Soulful Psychology® is seeking a licensed clinical psychologist interested in joining our group psychotherapy private practice to provide individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, and children. This position will receive extensive training in Soulful Psychology® and other Depth Psychology traditions. The ideal candidate will either have a strong background in Depth Psychology (i.e., Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Jungian Psychotherapy, etc.) or will have a strong desire to learn and practice using Depth Psychology methods (which means the candidate does not need to have a background in Depth Psychology). The hired candidate will provide psychotherapy both in-person and through teletherapy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a caseload that could grow up to 40 clinical hours per week, (The clinician and Soulful Psychology® staff will work together to build the clinician’s caseload over time; therefore, the clinician will start as a part-time employee with zero patients on their caseload and thus zero hours of work, and then increase their caseload/hours worked over time; the hired clinician is required to work 40 clinical hours per week once caseload grows to that volume). Soulful Psychology® will conduct marketing in an attempt to help clinicians get more patients and grow their caseload; clinicians are also welcome to find their own patients in order to grow their caseload. Please note that because we are a new group practice, it will take time to grow to 40 hours per week, and 40 hours per week is not guaranteed.
- Required to provide in-person therapy from the Soulful Psychology® Woodland Hills, CA office on Wednesday’s, Thursday’s, Friday’s, and Saturday’s, and teletherapy from clinician’s approved remote location (i.e., home) on Monday’s and Tuesday’s.
- Participate in trainings on the Soulful Psychology® approach.
- Complete and maintain clinical documentation on time (i.e., 45-minute individual clinical session and 15-minute note taking time, which constitutes a 60-minute clinical hour).
- May be required to supervise Soulful Psychology® associate therapists.
- Promote a culture of compassion, respect, teamwork, authenticity, integrity, cultural competence, community, and human connection.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Possession of a valid, active license as a Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology in good standing.
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or Educational Psychology.
- Willingness to sign a contract that agrees to a two-year commitment to stay with Soulful Psychology®.
- Openness to work remotely Monday’s and Tuesday’s and work in-office (Woodland Hills, CA) on Wednesday’s, Thursday’s, Friday’s, and Saturday’s (work days and hours will increase as clinician’s caseload increases).
- Acceptance of working part-time in the beginning but building up to full-time when patient assignments increase.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting.
- Experience with, or interest in learning, how to practice utilizing Soulful Psychology® and Depth Psychology methods.
- Ability to be self-directed and work collaboratively with a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Emotional intelligence, care and safety for patients, passion for learning, and ability to receive and provide constructive feedback.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and staff.
- Strong professional ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with current research and best practices in the field.
BENEFITS
- Competitive Revenue Split: Soulful Psychology® is a private pay psychotherapy service provider; thus, the hired clinician will earn a 40% gross split on all private pay collections, offering high earning potential based on volume: Approximately up to $124 per session (If a sliding scale is applied, the salary amount may differ). As this is a newly established group practice, the initial caseload will be built gradually. We are seeking candidates who understand that total clinical hours will scale over time; while the long-term goal is a full-time schedule, reaching 40 hours per week is subject to patient volume, thus no hours are guaranteed.
- The hired clinician will also earn $20 gross for a non-clinical hour worked that is required for the benefit of Soulful Psychology®.
- Paid Sick Leave: Your health and well-being are a priority. To support you, we offer an accrued paid sick leave plan where your time-off balance grows along with your hours worked. This ensures that as you contribute to our team, you are simultaneously building protected, paid time to care for yourself or your family.
- Soulful Psychology® will do marketing and public speaking in an attempt to generate referrals for building clinician’s caseload.
- Receive specialized training in Soulful Psychology® and Depth Psychology psychotherapeutic methods.
